GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms governs your use of, and purchases from, the domain “norrfolks.com” and will be
valid for all your future transactions with NORRFOLKS and visits to the site. By making a
purchase from, or using the site you have agreed to these Terms and Conditions and entered
into a binding agreement with NORRFOLKS. Please make sure that you have read and
understood these terms when using our site. NORRFOLKS reserves the right to revise these
Terms and Conditions and users are responsible for keeping themselves updated with such
changes.

PURCHASES

In order to make a purchase at “norrfolks.com” you need to be at least 18 years old. In
connection with your purchase you agree that we store and use your personal information, in
accordance to the GDPR legislation, to fulfill our commitments towards you. For example, the
Email address that you provide during checkout will be used to confirm your purchase with us,
as well as to notify you in case of any potential changes affecting your purchase.

We at NORRFOLKS reserve the right to end a sale or limit the quantities of our products that we supply, and/or to refuse your order and reserve the right not to deliver for any reason without any liability to you. Orders that are unusual or placed in bad faith will be refused. In addition, we reserve the right to refuse any order from a client with whom there is a dispute concerning the payment of a previous order. All attempts of fraud will be reported to the Swedish police and NORRFOLKS reserves the right to cancel the purchase if any suspicion is raised.

ACCEPTED COUNTRIES

NORRFOLKS approves purchases from Sweden and all countries within the European Union such as Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain etc.

ORDER PROCESS

Once you make a purchase with us, NORRFOLKS will send you an automatically generated purchase confirmation to the Email address that you entered in the customer data form during checkout. The purchase is complete when you receive the purchase confirmation from us. In case you did not receive an Email from us after your purchase was placed, please contact us immediately at info@norrfolks.com.

In order to save our planet’s resources, we only send a digital receipt of your purchase to the Email you provided us with. In case you need a printed receipt of your purchase, please reach out to us at info@norrfolks.com.

FULFILLMENT


We at NORRFOLKS will always do our best to fulfill your purchase. There may be circumstances that make it impossible for us to complete your purchase, for example, if our suppliers cannot fulfil their obligations against us. If there is a problem occurring with your purchase, we will notify you immediately via Email. You will have the right to cancel your purchase with us, if we are not able to fulfill it. We cannot offer any compensation to you other than a refund of the product’s purchase price that you paid.

CONTENT AND PRICES

 

NORRFOLKS does not guarantee that all items included on the site are in stock at the time of your order. In the event that an item is unavailable you will be contacted shortly by Email. NORRFOLKS cannot guarantee that the content on the page is free of inaccuracies or typographical errors at all times. Neither can we guarantee that all information is up-to-date and NORRFOLKS may at any time amend the content of the site. NORRFOLKS holds the right to change prices, correct incorrect prices on all orders as well as final sales and will give you the option of placing a new order with the correct price or canceling your order.

 

RESALE POLICY

By placing an order you agree that that item purchased is for personal use only and not for resale.

PRE-ORDERS

At NORRFOLKS we occasionally offer you to purchase certain items by pre-ordering them. This
means that you are reserving your item by paying for it in advance, before we start the
production with our manufacturer. The main reason why we have this option is to avoid excessive stock and encourage a more sustainable consumption approach to buy on demand. Delivery times can vary and are usually stated on the product page, but can take approx. up to six weeks. Our 30-days return and exchange policy applies to all pre-ordered items.

MADE TO ORDER

At NORRFOLKS we craft some of our fine jewelry products specially for you on request. This means that we start the production process after you made the purchase and thereby requested the product to be made. Some of our essential designs as well as all engagement rings, wedding bands and eternity bands are made-to-order items. Such items are described in text as “made to order” on the product page of the product. Made-to-order items are always paid for in advance, and may be debited before receival of the product. Currently, we cannot accept requests for express orders.

Please note, when purchasing a made-to-order item, we always start production of the rings
when we have received payment from the customer. If you have paid with an invoice via Klarna
then you will need to pay when Klarna informs you.

Prices on the website can be selected in the currencies SEK or EURO. Please note that you are billed in the currency that you have select at the time of purchase and we are not responsible for
currency exchange rates or exchange fees imposed by your bank.

The final price charged to your account or credit card will be calculated in accordance with the
applicable exchange rate on the day your bank or credit card company processes the
transaction and according to their rates.

NORRFOLKS has no control over these rates and do not take responsibility for any potential
exchange rate differences or exchange fees imposed by your bank.

All prices shown on the website are including Swedish VAT (25% of the total amount). In the checkout, prior to placing a binding purchase, you can see the total price including all fees, taxes and shipping.

NORRFOLKS reserve the rights to change prices without prior notice.

PAYMENT

NORRFOLKS accepts credit or debit card payments via Visa and MasterCard. In some
countries we offer invoice payments, direct debit and direct bank transfer options through our payment provider Klarna. Klarna is a 3D secure, PCI certified, encrypted payment system that processes all payments for NORRFOLKS. By placing your order on our website you agree to Klarna’s User Terms and confirm that you have read Klarna’s Privacy Notice.

Extra charges from Klarna may apply depending on the payment method, but will be stated during checkout. Charges by Klarna for late payments may apply.

Payments are not debited until the purchase has been dispatched, unless you have purchased a pre-order or made-to-order item where payments may be due in advance. When paying by card you may be asked to provide your card number, the name of the cardholder, its period of validity and the CVC code. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. There is no extra charge for card payments. In the event that no payment has been received after submitting your purchase, NORRFOLKS may automatically cancel your order.

We at NORRFOLKS do not store any credit card or other financial information. All information is encrypted using SSL encryption, which prevents unauthorized access to card details. This encrypts and protects the data you send to us over the internet. If SSL is enabled you will see a padlock at the top of your browser, which you can click on to find more information about the SSL digital certificate. Please make sure that the URL on top of your browser begins with “https” and not “http” which means you are in secure mode.

SHIPPING

Free shipping to Sweden and EU orders over 1000 SEK / 100 EUR

Orders placed Monday-Friday before 11:00 am CET will ship same day (exception of Swedish national holidays). Orders placed on weekends will be shipped the following Monday.

For orders under 1000 SEK / 100 EUR:
Sweden: 59 SEK/ 6 EUR shipping rate, delivers in 1-3 business days
EU: 79 SEK/ 8 EUR shipping rate, delivers in 2-5 business days

All orders are shipped insured by PostNord (Swedish postal service) with the service “REK”.

Made-to-order items with special shipping policy:
Wedding collection: Estimated delivery in 6-8 weeks
Initial Necklaces / Pendants: Estimated delivery in 2 weeks
Modern Dome Ring: Estimated delivery in 4-6 weeks
Chunky Stacking: Estimated delivery in 4-6 weeks

Delivery times are provided as guidelines only, and do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorization, stock availability, customs clearance processes, faulty delivery information or any other unforeseen activities.

SHIPPING TO SWEDEN

Once your package leaves our warehouse you will receive an SMS or Email notification that your parcel is on its way. The parcel will arrive within approx. 1-2 business days. “Rek 1:klass” is a service that delivers your order to the nearest PostNord service point and you will be notified via SMS or Email once your order is ready to be picked up.

SHIPPING WITHIN EU

Once your package leaves our warehouse you will receive a SMS or Email notification that your parcel is on its way. The parcel will arrive within approx. 2-8 business days, depending on the country of destination. The delivery method can vary by country which we have no control over. We strongly suggest that you contact your local post office if you would like to receive more information on the method of delivery.

TRACKING PARCELS

All parcels are trackable through the methods provided by PostNord. When your order has left our warehouse you will receive a tracking number via SMS or Email which you can use to track your order status. In case you have not received a tracking number, please reach out to us at info@norrfolks.com.

INSURANCE

We insure each parcel from the time it enters transit until it is delivered to you, or until you picked it up at your nearest postal service point. All orders require a signature or ID check upon delivery, at which point you become responsible for the shipment. If you have specified a recipient other than yourself for the delivery, you also accept that the third party’s signature is sufficient proof of delivery and fulfilment by us.

ALTERNATIVE SHIPPING ADDRESS

During checkout you can specify an alternative shipping address, for example your office
address as the shipping address. Please note, if you choose to pay with Klarna Invoice you need to state your registered address as the shipping address. This is for your safety as a customer.

ADD/CHANGE SHIPMENT INFORMATION ON PARCEL

Should you need to change the recipient name or shipping address on the parcel, please contact info@norrfolks.com to proceed. Please note that this request is only submitted by Norrfolks and is up to PostNord to implement. The fee for a name or address change is 200 SEK / 20 EURO paid via PayPal invoice.

UNCLAIMED PARCELS

Please make sure to pick up your parcel within 14 days, otherwise your parcel will be returned back to us. For all unclaimed parcels you will be charged 300 SEK / 30 EUR for all fees in connection with the returned delivery and handling costs. The fee will be deducted from the returned order refund or be invoiced afterward.

MISSING PARCELS

If your parcel in transport becomes missing then a claim will need to be filed with PostNord. The claim process may take up to 60 business days. During this time Norrfolks is not liable for the package nor able to send a replacement order to you. Once the claim decision has been made, Norrfolks will contact the customer with update and procedure.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

We offer a 30-day return and exchange policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery, for the item(s) to be received back at our warehouse to be eligible for a return or exchange. For the return or exchange to be accepted the item(s) must be in unused condition, undamaged, unaltered, without scratches and in original packaging, including diamond certificates where applicable.

Within Sweden we offer a free return or exchange service which means that we will provide you with a prepaid return label to send your item(s) back to us.


For returns or exchanges outside of Sweden, you will need to arrange and pay for the return shipping. We always recommend you to send your returned or exchanged item with an insured postal tracking service and in the original NORRFOLKS mailer box.

RETURN AND EXCHANGE INSTRUCTIONS

1. REGISTER YOUR RETURN OR EXCHANGE:

Send an Email with your order number and reason for the return/exchange to info@norrfolks.com. In case of an exchange, make sure to specify the details (size and gold color) of the desired replacement item(s).

2. PREPARE YOUR PARCEL:

We prefer you place the item(s) in the original box or similar solid carton item, and seal the box securely with tape. Print out the return slip we provided you with and place it on the box, over the original shipping label so the bar code can be seen clearly.

3. SEND IT BACK:

Once you have prepared your parcel and attached the return shipping label, you can drop it off at your closest PostNord service point. Your parcel is insured all the way back to us. If you are a customer outside of Sweden, you can ship the item(s) to us with the carrier of your choice. For your own safety, we recommend you to choose a shipping option with insurance and tracking service in case your parcel gets lost or stolen on the way back to us.

NORRFOLKS will at all times control the returned items prior to processing the refund or exchange. All of our diamonds may be tested for their authenticity and their lab-grown origin. If damage, harm or alteration is caused to a purchased jewelry item or a diamond item by you or a jeweller or any other third party, our return policy and warranty will not apply, and the item will not qualify for a return, exchange or refund. A non-return of a diamond certificate will be charged at 5.000 SEK plus VAT for a replacement certificate.

EXCHANGES

In case you would like to exchange an item to another size or color, please reach out to our customer service team at info@norrfolks.com and we will have a replacement processed for you in the right size and color. In order to be eligible for an exchange the item(s) must be in unworn condition, without any signs of wear, without any damages, with the original packaging and returned to us within 30 days of delivery. Because we carefully control each returned item prior to processing a refund or exchange, we allow ourselves 5-10 business days for authorizing an exchange. All exchanges are based on stock availability and are shipped from us to you free of charge. Please keep in mind that replacements that are not in stock may be custom made which can take up to 4-6 weeks to be delivered to you from the date the original item was received back to us. Should you be interested in an alternative jewelry item, please return your original item to us and simply purchase the new piece separately at norrfolks.com.

Exchanges are based on stock availability and are shipped from us to you free of charge. Please note, each order is only allowed 2 exchange requests with free shipping. For any exchange requests following, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

SPECIAL POLICY FOR MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS

Made-to-order items such as engagement rings, eternity bands or weddings bands are covered by our 30-day return policy, if not stated otherwise, but limited to only ONE RETURN and ONE RESIZING (size exchange) per customer. A second return by the same customer will be denied. A second resizing (size exchange) by the same customer may be accepted for an additional service fee. In case you want to resize your ring after 30-days of reception, we can help you with that for a service fee. Please contact our customer service team at info@norrfolks.com to get a cost estimate. Please keep in mind that engraved made-to-order items are not eligible for a return, exchange or refund but may be resized for a service fee. Additional costs may apply to redo the engraving. REFUNDS

We shall as soon as possible, if under the jurisdiction of our return policy, refund you the full value that you have paid for the returned or exchange the item(s). Refunds are only authorized by us and processed by our payment provider Klarna. Refunds are made to the original purchaser’s credit card or bank account and can take 5-10 business days to show up on your account, from the time they have been authorized by us. Because we carefully control each returned item prior to processing a refund or exchange, we allow ourselves 5-10 business days for authorizing a refund.

PRODUCTS

LABORATORY GROWN DIAMONDS

NORRFOLKS sells jewelry items with diamonds of laboratory origin. This means that our diamonds are as real as mined diamonds but instead of being extracted from earth, they are grown in a laboratory. NORRFOLKS lab-grown diamonds have the exact identical chemical, physical and optical properties as mined diamonds and are graded in the same by the International Gemological Institute IGI. NORRFOLKS lab-grown diamonds are NOT diamond simulants like cubic zirconia or moissanite stones.

We at NORRFOLKS may describe and advertise our lab-grown diamonds with the following words: lab-grown, laboratory grown, lab-created, cultivated, sustainably grown, eco-friendly, eco-conscious, earth-friendly, above-ground, man-made, conflict-free.

NORRFOLKS diamonds above +0.3ct are accompanied with a grading certificate issued by the International Gemological Institute IGI.

By placing your order on our website you agree to buying laboratory grown diamond(s) and not mined diamond(s).

WARRANTY

NORRFOLKS offers a three year warranty on all items guaranteed to the original owner against defects in manufacturing and workmanship. Please keep in mind that our fine jewelry items need to be handled with great care. If your item covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair it without charge, or replace it, at our discretion. Only original, unaltered and unmodified items are covered. This warranty does not cover lost diamonds, workmanship by a third party or any damages caused by accident, improper care, negligence, or normal wear and tear over extended time and use. We advise you to not wear our items during exercising, showering, cleaning, swimming, sleeping, gardening or similar. Please follow our care guide for tips on how to take care of your jewelry. Damages not covered under warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for return shipping.

Upon acceptance of the delivery, insurance and protection of your item becomes the sole responsibility of you, the customer, and NORRFOLKS shall not be held liable for any loss, theft or resulting damages that may subsequently occur.

WHITE GOLD JEWELRY

Our White Gold jewelry is plated with Rhodium, customary with all White Gold product
standards. This Rhodium plating can wear off over time, however, can be renewed by taking to
a local jewelry store for re-plating.

DEFECTIVE ITEMS

If you received an item that is damaged or faulty you have the right to enter a claim with us. Please write us an email at info@norrfolks.com as soon as possible to report the claim and if you can, please attach a photograph of the damaged or faulty product. We will first assess if the damage or fault can be repaired. If this is not possible we will replace the item for you. In case we cannot replace the item, we will refund you the money. In all of those cases we will ask you to send the item back to us in original packaging, including diamond certificates where applicable. In order to return a defective item within Sweden, we will provide you with a prepaid shipping label. In order to return a defective item outside of Sweden, we recommend to you to ship back to us by the carrier of your choice, with maximum reimbursement cost of 250 SEK / 25 EURO. For your own safety, we recommend you to choose a shipping option with insurance and tracking service in case your parcel gets lost or is stolen on it’s way back to us. To be able to reimburse you for the return shipping cost, please email us a copy of your shipment receipt.

DEVIATIONS

Due to the workmanship and manufacturing process, the measurements, weight and gold color of our items may differ slightly from the information provided with each item. The length of chains can vary up to +/- 0.5cm, the measurements of width or thickness of items can vary up to 0.2mm and the weight of items can vary up to +/- 10%. Diamond carats of uncertified stones, which are all diamonds under 0.30ct, can vary up to +0.05ct or -0.02ct. Diamond carats of certified stones can vary up to +0.08ct, which means that certified diamonds will either be equal or higher than the stated carat weight provided with the item.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All intellectual property rights, such as trademarks and copyright, on the site and in the material published on it are owned by or licensed to NORRFOLKS and its affiliates. You are authorized to use this material only for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Any use of the site or its content, including copying or storing such content in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the permission of NORRFOLKS.

You may not modify the material in anyway, without the prior written permission of the copyright owner.

 

USER CONTENT

The NORRFOLKS website may include user generated content, e.g. from social media
applications. NORRFOLKS does not claim any ownership in rights in such content (images, photos, videos, etc.) and take no legal responsibility for it. In case you suspect a violation of copyright, or any other right, or otherwise are offended by such content, please contact our customer service.

PRIVACY POLICY

When purchasing a product on the site you will be asked to fill in your personal information. Upon purchase you agree to this information being stored in accordance to NORRFOLKS privacy policy in order to fulfill our agreement to you as a customer. All personal information saved at the site will be handled with the utmost care.

NORRFOLKS treats all personal information confidential and it will not be sold or used for any other purposes than to process and fulfill your purchase and ensure the best service possible. Your personal data may be disclosed to third parties only when it is necessary to fulfill the purposes described above.

You have the right to request access to your data and if there is anything wrong you may have it changed or removed. If this is the case, send us an Email clearly stating your name, Email address and a short description of the matter.

When completing a purchase you have the option to opt out of any promotional information or newsletters from NORRFOLKS. Or if you no longer wish to receive information that is not necessary to fulfil your purchase, please unsubscribe directly in the Emails by clicking the “Unsubscribe” button in the footer of the mailing in question or contact us via Email at info@norrfolks.com. For security reasons, we do not store any payment information in our database.

COOKIES

A cookie is a file sent from a website such as for example www.norrfolks.com to your computer where it is stored either in memory (session cookies) or as a text file (text-based cookies). Cookies are used to store login information and your shopping cart while browsing around with us. If your browser is set to not accept cookies, you will not be able to make any orders on our site. You can easily change this in the settings in your browser. Please note that we do not use cookies to store personal information about you.

TERMINATION

NORRFOLKS reserves the right to terminate your account and/or use of the site at its sole discretion. For example if NORRFOLKS suspects that you have in any way breached the Terms and Conditions. Such termination can be made without prior notice.

LIABILITY

NORRFOLKS responsibility for errors in connection to delivery is limited to existing conditions of sale. NORRFOLKS bears no direct or indirect responsibility for example, but not limited to, incompatibility, delivery delays, downtime, data loss, additional work or other economic harm. Part of the services mediated through the site are maintained by outside organizations.

Where NORRFOLKS acts as an agent for such services, we cannot be held responsible for any errors resulting from their activities. NORRFOLKS cannot be held responsible for any damage caused from using, or not being able to use, the site.

NORRFOLKS cannot guarantee a problem-free, uninterrupted, and secure access to the site. The site may contain links to other website beyond our reach. We cannot be held liable for content or privacy policies of such sites.

FORCE MAJEURE

NORRFOLKS have the right to assert force majeure in the event of war, warlike event, civil war, revolution, government sanction, strike, lockout, blockade, natural disaster or the like. This means that the agreement will not need to be fulfilled in part or in full. Should this, contrary to expectation, occur, we would attempt to notify you. Under such circumstances, NORRFOLKS will attempt to resolve all issues in a timely manner.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are compiled in accordance with Swedish law. To the extent permitted by law, Swedish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute under this agreement. The laws of your country may differ from Sweden and there may be additional legal requirements to use this website. You must comply with all applicable local and international laws and regulations regarding your use of our site.
